Due to the changes in national funding, NESPSS no longer receives financial support from the Department for Education to fund its coordination role. While the NESPSS Board agrees a future strategy do not expect this site to be updated as regularly as it used to be. Welcome to the new home of the North East Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Schools (NESPSS). This site aims to provide information and guidance to schools, local authorities and school partners to enhance the delivery of sustainable development in schools in the north east region. The partnership believes that this work can be a powerful school improvement tool. NESPSS supports the delivery of the Sustainable Schools Framework in the region as well as the broader development of education for sustainable development. The links on the left provide information on the existing sub partnerships which focus on particular programmes or initiatives which are supporting the delivery of the Sustainable Schools Framework. Some of these partnerships are more developed than others.
